Hmmm.....

I need to ask...have you ever really woke up one day and felt like you were really off? I mean really off, not clicking on all cylinders and you are not sure what the day is going to bring. Well that is my day today...and as I have put more thought to it as the morning has progressed, I have determined a change really needs to be made. I have not determined what the change needs to be...taking a trip somewhere, seeing the sun, selling the house, making a move, or remodeling something in the house. Who knows...but I will let you know when I find out.

On another note, I have to ask another question about something I truly don't understand. I have been taking the kids to school for years, Brittany, Chris, Chandee, and now Mackenzy and her friends. And through all of the times I have done the drop off thing, I have never truly understood the moms that block traffic or create a traffic jam so they can sit in their minivans at the curb and watch their kids until the bell rings. It is called a "Drop Off" zone for a reason, not a "Sit in my minivan with bed head, watching my kids because I have separation anxiety or extreme paranoia" zone. (sorry Mindi) :)

Drop your kids off and move your ASS!!! If you are so afraid of your kid being taken from in front of the door or you need to see them as long as possible, I have two words for you. HOME SCHOOL...

Thoughts for Today...

School Commute - I have always said, that housewives that just woke up, minivans full of kids, and the morning commute to school just do not mix. Well then you add some snow to frozen roads and we have ourselves outright chaos on an ice skating rink.

I saw more people stuck spinning their tires, hitting curbs because they were trying to get the kids to school before the bell rang, probably because they all just rolled out of bed. And way too many women in their PJ's with a coat wrapped around them, with the ever attractive bed head, trying to figure out how they were going to get their car off the front lawns or explain to their husbands why the van now pulls to the right.

Chris Butters - Every day I get a serious laugh out of the news tied to Chris Butters and his comments, his plans for legislation, and then him blaming everyone else for what he has done. Did he seriously get re-elected because we need some entertainment in our lives or is there not anyone actually voting.

Commando...

This only adds to my argument that it should always be Commando...

Making a difference...

I got a second letter in the mail this weekend from Primary Children's Hospital thanking us once again for donating the stuffed animals from Build-A-Bear. The first letter, like the one I received last year, was the standard form letter thanking us for the donation, but this letter was a more personal letter from the director of donations. It really highlighted how excited the kids were and how the kids can feel left out or alone when they are in the hospital during the holiday season.

After reading the letter a few times it really made me start thinking about how many things we really truly take for granted as we get together with our kids and family over the holidays, to laugh and open gifts.

So I think it has made me more determined to make this bigger every year. I figure if I can help put a smile on one child's face, during a time where they should have no worries in the world, I have helped make a small difference during my lifetime.

Thank you to everyone that helped that past few years...and get prepared for me to continue to bug you year after year. :)

"Damn! We're in a tight spot..."

This has to be one of my favorite movies of all time and one of the best movie quotes. I'm thinking I am going to have to watch it this weekend.
